WE BELIEVE NATURAL MATERIALS, SUSTAINABLY FARMED, ARE NATURE’S SOLUTION TO PLASTIC POLLUTION. EVERYTHING WE HAVE EVER NEEDED TO SURVIVE, AND THRIVE, COMES FROM THE NATURAL WORLD: FOOD, WATER, MEDICINE, SHELTER, AND EVEN NATURAL MATERIALS LIKE COCONUT SHELLS.
Every year billions of coconuts grow and are harvested for their water and white meat – unfortunately 99% of coconut shells go to waste, and are often burned which releases CO2 (Carbon dioxide) and Methane emissions into the atmosphere. Instead, we reclaim these waste coconut shells and turn them into a resource. We also source the small pieces of coconut and other wooden offcuts that local builders and artisans would throw away or burn. We work with local artisans to handcraft the offcuts into our spoons, forks, knives and chopsticks leaving next to no waste behind!
While reimagining the waste streams of the coconut tree we realised it is one of the most sustainable plants on the planet. The growing processes our farmers use in Vietnam are organic so don’t require pesticides or insecticides to sustain quality production, that’s a huge tick for us. Then considering coconut palms produce their first fruit within six years and continue fruiting for 80 years they make sense sustainably.
Unlike plastics, which are made from various chemical compounds, our Coconut Bowls are all 100% natural. From tree to table, our products are never exposed to chemicals that could cause harm to our health and wellbeing. We’re creating positive changes to the way we consume food by replacing plastic compounds with all natural, sustainably sourced, eco friendly products.
Coconut Bowls, Coconut Candles are all 100% natural products that will biodegrade in your home compost or the green waste bin. We’re proud that our products come from nature and can be returned to the earth at the end of their life, closing the coconut loop. If you’re not ready to say goodbye to your Coconut Bowls then they can also be repurposed into planters for herbs, candle and jewellery holders, coin jars, dog food bowls, paint bowls – the only limit is your imagination.
